The area’s hottest wine and food showcase comes to Westfields Marriott, Chantilly, Saturday and Sunday February 12 and 13, 2011. Wine enthusiasts will enjoy some of Virginia’s most hard-to-find artisan wines produced by local wineries – as well as food and wine tastings and pairings featuring prominent personalities. Among the chefs to be featured include: Warren Brown, CakeLove Café; Executive Chef Rich Rosendale, The Greenbrier; Gennaro and Chiara Lima, Mamma Agata’s Cooking School; Chef Bernard Henry, former executive chef, Open Kitchen; sushi chef for Wegmans, and more.

For the past four years, the Virginia Wine (and Food) Showcase has provided Washington area residents with a line up of informative seminars that have become popular with both the novice and the connoisseur. Visitors will be able to enjoy unlimited wine tastings of over 300 world-class Virginia wines, ranging from dry and semi-dry table wines to sparkling fruit and dessert wines. The goal of the gala Showcase weekend is to offer wine lovers the opportunity to sample Virginia’s large variety of award-winning, locally grown wines all in one place, all in one day. Hotel space is currently available for couples seeking a Valentine Weekend Getaway. Tickets per person for the tastings run $45 at the door, $36 online, and $20 for non-drinkers.
