So many deli places are closing down because they try to cut down on costs by serving frozen food that they just heat up to order. In my experience, Vace is as close as D.C. comes to a good, solid Italian deli/meateria. Not only can you get awesome sandwiches and other dishes on the spot; they have fridges full of homemade pasta and other specialties that you can take home to enjoy.
