If they serve homemade pasta then they get an A in my book. So many deli places are closing down because they try to cut down on costs by serving frozen food that they just heat up to order. I operate a Fort Lauderdale catering business and it seems to me that the way to get customers is with unique and quality food that is cooked to order.

I think this review is somewhat misleading, although it might decrease traffic at Vace, so I'm not complaining.

In my experience, Vace is as close as D.C. comes to a good, solid Italian deli/meateria. Not only can you get awesome sandwiches and other dishes on the spot; they have fridges full of homemade pasta and other specialties that you can take home to enjoy. In my opinion, Vace is an unqualified A.

[...] Vace Italian Deli - There are a few different locations but the one I frequent is in Cleveland Park. There isn’t a place to sit but they do slices and pies for carry out so if you’re in the neighborhood drop by. Vace offers some of the freshest ingredients in their pizza.
