This spring on March 2, 2013 the National Kidney Foundation Serving the National Capital Area will be hosting its 24th Annual Casino Night. This year’s theme is “Luck o’ the Irish” with honorary chairs Lorenzo and Manjanique Alexander.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by kidney disease and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. The Washington, DC area leads the nation in the prevalence of kidney disease with an estimated 700,000 people affected, nearly 6,000 on dialysis, and
more than 1,500 waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant. Casino Night raises funds to support medical research, patient and community services, professional education, and organ donation awareness in the DC region.
Casino Night is an exciting black-tie optional event that attracts a diverse and affluent group of more than 500 guests and volunteers from the business, medical and philanthropic communities in the National Capital Area.
Whether you’re playing for the first time or are a master at the tables, you’ll enjoy the games, food and drink, music and frivolity all while supporting a great cause.
Bring your family, friends and colleagues and let the good times roll! Casino Night 2013 will feature casino-style gaming, including blackjack, craps, and roulette, premier silent auction items, complimentary beer and wine, hourly spirit tastings, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, dance music and a photo booth. You can even win prizes by going green and dressing your festive best!
The event will be held on March 2, 2013 from 8pm till midnight at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. Ticket, sponsorship, and media information can be found by calling 202.244.7900 or visiting kidneywdc.org.
