Science Club

Science Club is a cool little bar at 1136 19th St. NW near Dupont Circle. I would go so far as to say that Science Club might be one of my favorite bars in DC.

Cost – $$

Service – A
The service is the first thing that differentiates Science Club from the rest of the bars and clubs within a 5-mile radius. From the doorman on in to the bartenders, the staff is friendly and genuine. I’ve never experienced a hint of attitude from anyone there.

Food – ?
I think Science Club serves some appetizers but I’ve never tried them.

Decor – B+
They have a little of everything at Science Club. There is an outdoor patio with seating where people can just chill out and have a drink and a smoke, an upstairs with a bar and a back-room/lounge. My favorite area in the basement bar that has a kind of reserved vibrance that I dig.

Feel – A-
The general ambiance is laid-back and a bit more mature than some of the other loungey joints in the place. It is where people go after they graduate from 18th Street Lounge. The only thing missing from Science Club are some more attractive women. All the other pieces are there.

Thanks coldcut. The going out sometimes affects our ability to check the proper box.

[…] that one was walking into a large house party – for those familiar with DC, it felt much more like Science Club than a place like Ibiza.  […]
