Hey Johnna, I’ll be honest – that is the first time I’ve heard bad things about the service at La Tomate. I’m guessing the service you received was an anomaly.

The service sucks, I will not go back. The waitor was soo rude to me and my date, I had to wonder if he was paying us or we were paying him?!?

Thanks for the review. I used to work near La Tomate but never tried it. There are just so many Italian places in DC… plus, if I’m wandering DuPont looking for a meal it’s hard to say no to Bistrot du Coin, which is just up the street.
