7/18 – Fashion Fights Poverty invites guests to be fashionably responsible by taking a second look at quality second hand clothing, shoes and accessories during its first ever “fashion swap” from 12 pm – 5 pm at the Renaissance Hotel. Attendees can participate in the following ways: Consign – Bring your former favorites for consignment with Current Boutique or choose to donate their consignment to Fashion Fights Poverty; Swap – Attendees will leave their unwanted articles on tables and at a determined time, attendees can dive in and find their next “new to them” item; or Donate – Guests can donate items to Covenant House Washington, an organization that provides shelter and protection, food, clothing, counseling and job training to Washington, DC youth. It is such a fantastic idea that it is possible to move your fashion clothing on and have others appreciate and love it as you have.
It also makes nice room in the wardrobe to fill it up with more, which is also an absolute must.
