Expansion Presents Award-Winning Choreo-Poem ‘For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow

May 16-18  – Through powerful words, harmonious music and stunning movement, seven women tell their story of the love, passion, pain and struggle, which they endure on their quest for self-love and acceptance.  The music, dance and direction of this production is spearheaded by noted local artists Alana Hill (producer/director), Omoro Omoighe choreographer) and Sarah Chilcote (musical director).  Audience members are invited to attend a discussion group following the Saturday afternoon show, which will discuss the role of women (especially women of color) in today’s society.  For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.expansiondance.com.
